Staff selection commission (SSC) is the Department of Government of India, which conduct several exams for different posts of staff, officers and other employees to be recruited in various central government departments like CBDT, CBEC, CAG, Ministry of communication, Postal department, ministry of home affairs, ministry of external affairs.
SSC majorly conduct three entry level examination i.e. for Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation level examinations. Various posts require various qualification.
For Group D posts like Multi-Tasking Staff, qualification of matriculation is sought. whereas for higher posts like LDC, court clerk, Postal assistant, Data Entry Operator, Educational qualification of Higher Secondary level is necessary. And for very high level posts, such as Tax Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Excise Inspector, Customs Inspector, CBI, Narcotics Inspector, and other officials, Qualification of Graduation level is must.
SSC MTS is the exam for matriculation level : for recruitment of multi tasking staff in various departments of government of India.
SSC CHSL is the Combined Higher Secondary Level exam. For recruitment of Lower Divisional Clerks, Postal Assistants, Data Entry Operators, and Court clerks in various Indian governmental agencies and departments.
SSC CGL is the Combined Graduation level Examination conducted to recruit various officer and assistant officer level staff.
